Truck Convoy

The truck transport industry in Nova Scotia will be a new exhibit at the Museum of Industry in Stellarton, Nova Scotia in the fall 2018.

Do you know of a trucking company in Nova Scotia? Do you know their history? Perhaps you have a family member or friend who drives a big rig for a trucking company. Big rigs come in many colours, models, sizes and shapes.
Rug hookers are invited to hook up to two entries for the first Hooked Rug Truck Convoy Exhibit opening in the fall, 2018. Fifty hooked trucks is the minimum requirement for this unique and amazing exhibit. I know we can do this!

Further details and the application form are posted on the RHGNS’ website and our Facebook page. A write up about each entry submitted is also a requirement. This exhibit will demonstrate the history and the importance of truck transport. The information you submit with your entry will be highlighted and photos taken of each entry to create a book of this particular exhibit as a memorable keepsake of this show. We, as hookers, will be helping preserve the history of the truck transport industry in Nova Scotia.

There will be several events happening during this display to educate visitors about the important role the trucking industry has, the history of trucking and the people who work in the industry have here in Nova Scotia. Like they say, “If you got it, a truck brought it.”

Start planning today for your truck and let’s get ready for Nova Scotia’s first Hooked Rug Truck Convoy Exhibit!
