Understanding Our Commitment to Your Privacy

RHGNS is committed to ensuring the privacy and protection of our members’ data. We collect information to enhance your experience , including your name, contact details, and preferences.

We share your name, phone number and address with your Director so you can receive information on RHGNS activities.  The Membership Director and the Website Director also have access to update your information.

If you register for an event, your name and email may be provided to the event organizer to ensure you receive the event communications.  If the event is a school, the Rug School Director, Registrar and your teacher will also receive your contact information.

If you have registered for the in-person Rug School held each year in May, your allergy and accessibility information is shared with Mount Saint Vincent University and their food provider to ensure you receive the services you need.  Your name is also provided if you have choosen to stay on campus for the school. If you fill out the online evaluation, only the website director will have access to your name and email. Your name and email will be removed from the data before the data is shared with the Rug School Committee.

If you register for the free virtual hook-in, your information is used to create high-level attendance statistics.

If you have opted to receive a printed copy of our magazine, The Loop, then your name and mailing address is provided to the Magazine Director and our printing firm so you can receive the magazine.  The Magazine Director also uses the list to ensure the pictures for the gallery in the Loop are provided by  Members.

If another member wants your contact information, we will send their information to you so you can reach out to them.
